Vacation Time!

We went on a family vacation to Bay Village in Ohio to visit my brother Dustin and sister-in-law Dena. During that time we all went up to Niagra Falls. We got to see the Canadian side and American side of the falls. It was amazing and we had an awesome time. Emma and Mya went a 4 plane rides and did excellent. Brandon and I had so much fun with the family.

First Tooth, First Tooth!!!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't written for a while. Things have been really busy lately. Some exciting news for us happened today.
Emma is getting her first tooth in. Both Emma and Mya have been drooling a lot lately. Along with gnawing on their hands and toys. They were both more cranky today, but Emma was not her self at all most of the day. So when I was feeling and looking around in her mouth I saw a tiny little white sharp thing poking through! So we are starting to use some Tylenol and teething medicine to help her with the pain. I think Mya is also getting one in but I haven't seen anything poking through quite yet.
As soon as we can get Emma to open her mouth long enough to take a good picture of it I will post a picture of it.

Newest Member of Our Family

We added a new member to our family. On April 10th, 2009 we adopted Harley. He is an all black Shih Tzu and is 13 weeks old this Friday. He is very good with the girls. They really seem to like him and he really has taken to them. He potty trained for the most part and we're working on the normal obedient comands. He is learning really fast and well.

4 month old doctor visit

Last Thursday (April 16th) I took the girls in to their 4 month old appointment. They are doing great, growing big and healthy! They recieved their 2nd round of vaccine shots :(
Emma is now 11 pounds 10 ounces, which is the 10th percentile. Her length is 23.5 inches long, which is the 20th percentile.
Mya is now 11 pounds 3 ounces, which is the 6th percentile. Her length is 23 inches long, which is the 14th percentile.

Ears Pierced!

Today I took Emma and Mya to South Town Mall to have their ears pierced. They both did very well. I think it was more traumatic for me then for them. They only cried for about a minute or less and then went back to smiling.
Mya and Emma are the joy of Brandon and My life and we are so blessed to have such wonderful girls! For about the past 2 1/2 weeks I have had the girls on a schedule for their eating, playing and feeding time. A friend of mine recommended a book called, 'On Becoming Baby Wise'. It's been a great book on how to have you baby sleep through the night. It was hard at first but has gotten much easier as time has gone on. They are doing well and sleeping from about 9-11 hours a night most of the time.
Well that is all I can think of right now that is new. So i better head off to bed before it gets to be to late. xoxo

YAY!

Last Thursday (2-19-09) the girls had their two month old appointment with the pediatrician. They are still doing well, growing, and gaining weight. Emma is now 8lb 6oz and Mya is 8lb 3oz. Then Brandon and I went to the cardiologist with Emma last Friday (2-20-09) to find out about her heart murmur. They did an ultra sound for about 45 minutes on her heart. The Cardiologist said that her heart sounds fine. That alot of times when babies are this small their chest cavity is so thin still you can hear so much more going on in their little bodies so it can sound like an echo. They didn't see any holes, but if there are any they would be so small they should heal up on their own in time.
So we are relieved and want to thank you all for your prayers and support. We thank God everyday for the girls good health and our families help. xoxo
